The Brea Police Department does not maintain a holding jail for arrestees. They do, however, work with bondsman and will hold them at the Brea Police Department for a short time while the arrestee arranges for bail. If arrangements cannot be made, they will be moved to the Orange County Jail in Santa Ana.
Processing Time: From when someone arrives and starts the booking process, it is fairly quick, a half hour to an hour before they will be available to be bailed out. This is one of the best police departments to work with in Orange County. They understand that if they allow an arrestee to be bailed out while in Brea, they save hours of time driving them to Santa Ana and processing them. It’s a win-win. Arrestees are able to be bailed out quickly, and patrol officers are back on the street in Brea, protecting the community.
Once a bail bond is deposited for release, they will usually be out in less than 30 minutes.Directions and Map
